Our next regular voters' meeting has been scheduled for Sunday July 20, after the service.
Our members are invited to a retirement farewell for Pastor Mark Brase on Sunday, July 27 at Immanuel Lutheran in Fairfield. It will begin at 1:00 pm. Please keep our sister congregation in your prayers as they seek a new pastor.
Memory verse for this week: "I have stored up your word in my heart, that I might not sin against you." Psalm 119:11
Since Hope Haven closed there has been no place to redeem bottles and cans in Burlington. Until now. Droppett has set up a redemption shed on the southeast corner of the parking lot behind the auditorium. You can recycle cans and bottles and have Concordia receive the deposit refund. Pick up stickers in the fellowship hall. Please just take the number you need. Put your bottles and cans in a bag, tie it shut, and put a sticker on each bag. Scan the sticker, open the hatch, and place the bag inside the shed. The redemption money will then come to the church. At the next voters' meeting we will decide how can redemption money will be used.
Children's bulletins and crayons are available from the table at the back of the worship space. Please, bring your children to the service. Children pick up on the songs of the liturgy easily. Most of our services also include a Bible story for young children.
Missions offerings for the last first half of 2025 will go to LCMS Disaster Relief.
There is a box of handmade greeting cards on the back table. We suggest a donation of $2 per card. Proceeds from the cards go to Orphan Grain Train, a service organization affiliated with the Lutheran Church--Missouri Synod, that ships clothing, blankets, and other relief items around the world.
